ABOUT ME
My name is Aniruddho Chokroborty-Hoque (Click here for my resume). I have migrated from 15 years of conducting research to a lifetime of writing its stories. For over seven years, I have leveraged my research experiences and communications skills to deliver the SO WHAT of research for different audiences. I write stories, press releases and social media content, create and produce podcasts, and do copy-editing and website content reviews. My audiences range from internal to external stakeholders, from experts to the general public, from funding agencies to policy-makers.
I have:
written stories and created podcasts for Western University, Cardiac Arrhythmia Network of Canada, and Canadian Science Publishing
taught writing and communication at Fanshawe College
been invited as guest lecturer for podcasting and science communication at Western University.
been teaching podcasting for the National Campus and Community Radio Association.
been an invited speaker on the topics of science communication, writing, and podcasting for the Science Journalism Forum and Science Writers and Communicators of Canada.
TESTIMONIALS
I worked with Ani on a podcast project telling the story of Head & Heart, a unique research program geared for Indigenous students. Ani was a pleasure to work with, did his homework to understand the context of Indigenous research and connected with program leaders. Despite the challenges of conducting remote interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic, the resulting podcast was brilliant.
Mariam Hayward, Knowledge Exchange and Impact Manager, Western Research, Western University
They were great podcasts! I am not sure if there could have been anything done better. Our objectives were clearly met in a timely fashion, exceeding our expectations!
Kevin Morton, Former President, Ontario Rett Syndrome Association
I've listened to the entire batch now. They are very well done! You have done a great job balancing scientific facts with the human side of the disease. I'm excited to hear the reaction from our community once these go live.
Bryan Higgins, Former President-Elect, Ontario Rett Syndrome Association
